Capitole Power Amplifier

Capitole Power Amp is born with the idea to design a non conventional tube amplifier. We wanted to step out of the standard schematics and bring out something new from an “old” technology. We decided to go for a mixed triode/pentode amplification where we could have the benefits of triode musicality and low impedance, and pentode power and efficiency. A triode is not made to be mounted in parallel with a pentode, and this, due to many parameters, but this is not impossible… After a 2 years research, we perfected triode and pentode matching in power, achieving our exclusive TRAC® system (Tube Relay Amplification Concept). Triode and pentode can now work together over the full output power range, providing all the expected benefits from this special amplification. Producing more than 50 W in Class A, this special push-pull configuration leans on the very musical E34L triode wired, supported all the time by the powerful KT88 pentode. Resulting in higher slew rate, extended dynamics, large bandwidth, incredible true soundstage with improved details and focus; it finally makes possible an extraordinary real and natural musical reproduction
